Happy Canada Day Everyone! I thought this would be a great day to post an entry on holidays and working beyond "normal" business hours (i.e. 9 - 5).
I realize that each business professional and organization have unique hours in which work must be performed. Not everything can be done in a 9 -5 workday and many times work must continue even on holidays.

I started working in the non-profit sector in 1998 while completing a diploma in Social Sciences (Criminology). In 2002, I felt I needed to advance my career so I decided to complete training as a Computer Business Applications Specialist and attained certification as a Microsoft Office Specialist.
It was in 2003 when I took a completely different direction and gained experience in the small business and real estate sectors.
Although the world of real estate and the non-profit sector seem so different I came to realize that they have at least one thing in common.....the need for qualified office support in which hiring a full time or part time employee is not always an option.
Hence, this is where my idea of becoming a "virtual assistant" all began! Today, known as Brook Virtual Office Service!
We specialize in providing quality administrative support to small businesses, entrepreneurs, non-profit organizations, and community groups for short term or long term projects. We can also help eliminate the added stress of those daily office tasks. We primarily provide services from our own fully equipped office using the latest technologies to communicate with our clients.
